The Stihl HSA 66 is an impressive cordless hedge trimmer, its fitted with an efficient brushless motor which has a much longer product life than brushed versions. The HSA 66 is powered by Stihls leading-edge 36v lithium batteries and they recommend the AP 100 (sold separately) which will run the hedge trimmer for 60 minutes on a single charge depending on the cutting conditions.Cordless power is quiet, fume-free with minimal running costs and a very popular choice with contractors and landowners. Stihls lithium batteries have a LED indicator which displays remaining charge. There are two stages to the battery connection; the 1st stage is neutral which leaves the battery in position for transportation, but not connected; the 2nd connects the battery for use.The durable, double-sided 50cm / 20 blade has a good bite helped by the wide-tooth spacing and new droplet-shaped teeth. With the constant stroke rate and good tooth grip on the branches, the hedge trimmer will leave a smooth and precise finish to all hedge types, no matter how hardy. Built to be ergonomic and comfortable to use, the HSA 66 is suitable for both left and right handed users. The easy-grip loop handle gives the user optimum control whilst in use. For safety and extended product life the hedge trimmer has an integrated blade guard and tip protector.
